Feeding pet birds the right foods is important for their health. A balanced diet based on sound bird nutrition recommendations is the key. Balancing a parrot's diet from the beginning may prevent many health and behavior problems. When feeding pet birds, we must realize that the species of birds we have as companion pets do not all have the same dietary needs. In order to keep pet birds mentally happy and stimulated, they require new and different types of toys. This is not just for the bird's pleasure, as denying a bird mental stimulation can lead to an array of unhealthy and harmful behavioral issues. These issues can include plucking out their own feathers, screaming, and biting. Many of these toys are puzzle toys. Food can be placed inside the toy where the bird cannot easily reach it, so it must figure out a way to get the treat out of the toy. These types of toys are amazing for people who cannot be home with their birds 24/7 due to work. It keeps the bird entertained with it's favorite food or treats, and you can rest assured your precious pet is having fun and staying occupied until your return. The more intelligent the bird species, such as large parrots, the more these types of toys need to be given to keep the bird mentally healthy and avoid bad behaviors. If you are in need of supplies for your feathered friend, don't hesitate to text me. I also have a wide variety of foods and toys to choose from.
